The Eaton Cutler-Hammer GHC2080 molded case circuit breaker is part of the C Series that offers a variety of different components that can be integrated into complex systems that require a proper circuit protection. Protection from current overloads, short circuits, and other irregularities in operation is essential in order to save equipment from damage and also to protect operators that are working on the system. The flexible C Series by Eaton offers several different frames with different amperage ratings to fulfill the requirements of different applications. This domestically directed product series has many features that will expand the capabilities of the overall system. These devices are UL listed and they are in accordance with CSA regulations. The Series C provides limited IEC versions of circuit breakers that are not dual-rated in all cases.
Also, these circuit breakers are built within a current range of 15 to 2500 Amps and they include breakers with thermal-magnetic trip units, molded case switches, circuit breakers with electronic trip units, protectors for motor circuits, and also with breakers that are specially developed for DC/mining applications and engine generators. The GHC2080 circuit breaker with a molded case has 2 poles and it features the fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip type. The interrupting rating/voltage capacity of this circuit breaker is 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and 14 kAIC at 480Y/277 Volts AC while its amperage rating is 80 Amps. The voltage rating of the GHC2080 model is 480Y/277 Volts AC and 125/250 Volts DC. Besides that, the GHC2080 has a GHC circuit breaker type and a G Frame. Typically, the frequency rating of the circuit breakers from Series C is 50 to 60 Hertz.
