The molded case circuit breaker with the catalog number GHC2070 is intended for systems that require a reliable, efficient, and safe circuit protection solution. The Series C circuit breakers like the GHC2070 by Eaton Cutler-Hammer is directed at the domestic market and it features fewer options than Series G circuit breakers which are intended for global applications. The engineers at Eaton made sure that their circuit breakers are accustomed to a variety of different applications and that they maintain the proper power continuity level without having any disruption or unexpected downtime. The use of these circuit breakers will reduce costs and also minimize the overall use of energy. This series of circuit breakers offer 8 different frames that provide a different amperage range. The GHC2070 comes in a standard size and with most of its accessories installed by default. This product series offers circuit breakers with 480 Volts AC at 100 kAIC or 600 Volts AC at 3 kAIC of interruption capacity and most of the offered frames support DC options.
The GHC2070 circuit breaker represents a complete breaker with a fixed thermal/fixed magnetic trip unit type. The 2-pole circuit breaker provides an amperage output of 70 Amps and it operates on a 50 to 60 Hertz frequency. The voltage rating of this circuit breaker is 480Y/277 Volts AC and 125/250 Volts DC. So, in addition to this, the interrupting rating of the GHC2070 is 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and 14 kAIC at 480Y/277 Volts AC. The GHC type breaker is enclosed in a G frame and it is made according to the UL regulations. The dimensions of the GHC2070 are 96.52 millimeters (3.8 inches) x 55.88 millimeters (2.2 inches) x 55.88 millimeters (2.2 inches). The weight of this product is only 0.54 kilograms or 1.2 pounds. The standard ambient temperature range for the Series C circuit breakers is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius (32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit). These circuit breakers can be specially calibrated to operate within the -20 to 70 degrees Celsius (-4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) temperature range.
