The GHC2050 Series C Molded Case Circuit Breaker is an Eaton Cutler Hammer designed circuit breaker with a non-adjustable trip unit, line and load side terminals and 2-pole wiring configuration, used for overload and short-circuit protection in a variety of low voltage systems. It is built to protect conductors and connected devices from current overload and shorted circuit, and like every Frame G breakers, it is HACR rated and can be used for reverse feed wiring system. The GHC2050 has a maximum interrupt rating of 65 KAIC at 480 Volt AC, with a nominal current rating of 50 Amps, and it is designed for 480 Volt AC applications. Like every factory assembled Frame G circuit breaker, the GHC2050 comprises of standard load and line end pressure terminals, a non-interchangeable thermal-magnetic trip unit, a GHC frame, and a trip free operating mechanism.
This module’s terminals are made of pressure Aluminium body material, with 4 to 50 millimeter square Copper/Aluminium wire, and a terminal cover for each terminal. It has a fixed designed thermal-magnetic trip unit, which provides both thermal and magnetic trip actions using the current heated thermal bimetal strip, and a series connected electromagnet that offers instantaneous trip if the circuit current exceeds the set current value. The GHC2050 operating mechanism is designed to mechanically prevent contact from being held close together in the event of abnormal circuit condition, and in systems with connected multiple breakers, the operating mechanism easily indicates fault position within the circuit. The GHC2050 has a net shipping weight of 0.54 kilograms, with total shipping dimensions of 127 x 58.4 x 99.1 millimeters, and it is UL, CSA, and IEC certified.
