The GHBGFEP1030 is a 1-pole Cutler-Hammer Type GHB bolt-on panelboard industrial ground fault circuit protector manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. It is part of the Series C family and it is rated at 30 Amps continuous current, 277 Volts of maximum voltage, 240 Volts to 305 Volts of operating voltage, at 50 to 60 Hertz. It weighs 0.453 kilograms and its dimensions in inches are 5.1 x 3.9 x 7.5 inches. The GHBGFEP1030 ground fault circuit protector is a special purpose circuit breaker for single-phase systems such as single-phase motor circuits and other equipment that is within its ratings. The GHBGFEP1030 ground fault circuit protector features a test button for manually opening the circuit without the toggle switch and for testing its performance.
It features an extended tag terminal on the line that is directly bolted to the bus while the load terminal is a screw clamp terminal and it has fixed thermal magnetic trip as well as a non-interchangeable trip. Its arc extinguishing technology improves safety and its compact design saves more panel space compared to standard circuit breakers. Note that the GHBGFEP1030 ground fault circuit protector it is not suitable for general purpose use. It is built with high repulsion contacts and it uses a standard toggle type switch as an operating mechanism. The switch also indicates its on, off, or tripped status. After a trip-out, the GHBGFEP1030 ground fault circuit protector must be manually reset by switching it to the reset position before reclosing the circuit after the thermal element has cooled. It is important to ensure that all terminals of the GHBGFEP1030 are screwed or bolted properly to avoid arcing and overheating, which can cause nuisance trips.
