The GHB2050 circuit breaker from Eaton Cutler-Hammer is designed as part of Series C of the molded case circuit breakers. This model has 2 poles and a NEMA Type G frame with a bolt-on panelboard mounting option. The GHB2050 circuit breaker features a common type of trip unit and, like all of the circuit breakers with this kind of frame, it can be adjusted for applications where a reverse feed is necessary. The trip unit of this Type GHB thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is non-interchangeable. Besides that, the GHB2050 model is HACR rated and it is manufactured in accordance with all of the applying standards and requirements of Federal Specification W-C-375b (Class 13b). The GHB2050 device operates on 277 to 480 Volts AC (maximum) and on 125 Volts DC (maximum) voltage and the continuous current rating at 40 degrees Celsius is 50 Amps.
This 2-pole circuit breaker is not suitable for 3-phase Delta (480 Volts) motors. Besides that, the GHB2050 Series C circuit breaker has an interrupting capacity (kA symmetrical amperes) of 14 kAIC at 277 Volts AC (50/60 Hertz) or 125 Volts DC. This circuit breaker can withstand temperatures from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, and it has a solid resistance to shock and vibration, typical for an industrial piece of hardware. In addition to that, the users can choose to perform a calibration if the device is going to be placed in locations where temperatures are more drastic. The G Series circuit breakers are supported with various accessories that can be added later on if the application at hand is highly demanding. The GHB2050 circuit breaker is available with either internal or external accessories, including cylinder locks and interlock kits, handle blocks/locks, auxiliary switches, and other additions that can further expand the capabilities of a circuit protection device.
