The GHB1080 is a 1-pole Type GHB Thermal-Magnetic Series C circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton. Its amperage rating is 80 Amps and its voltage rating is 125 Volts AC or 277 Volts AC with a frequency rating of 50 to 60 Hertz. It relies on a fixed thermal element and a fixed magnetic element as well as high-repulsion contacts that provide efficient and reliable circuit protection in single-phase systems. The compact design of the GHB1080 circuit breaker increases its space saving capabilities and its molded case meets the demands of different work environments. It features a trip technology that ensures the breaker to trip even when its switching handle is locked or jammed, thereby increasing the overall protection it provides.
The GHB1080 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker allows for zero-stacking. It can be used in applications that require its side-by-side mounting with other breakers in the same enclosure, mounting plate, or panel board. Its line termination features an extended conductor that can be bolted directly to the bus and screw terminals that are available for the load end. The on and off status of the GHB1080 circuit breaker are clearly indicated by the inscription on the switching mechanism and it supports manual resetting in the case of a trip out. Accessories that allow for remote monitoring and operation such as alarm switches and electrical operators seamlessly connect to the GHB1080 circuit breaker. Exposure to direct sunlight and rainfall may impede the performance of the GHB1080 circuit breaker or reduce its lifespan. It can be installed with cables made of different materials, provided they match its ratings.
