The Eaton GD3050D is a complete circuit breaker with integrated and non-interchangeable thermal–magnet trip units. The current rating of the 3-pole breaker is 50 Amps. The voltage ratings are 125 or 250 Volts DC and 480 Volts AC. The interrupt capacity ratings of the GD3050D are 10 kAIC at 250 Volts DC, 22 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC. The dimensions of the G-frame GD3050D circuit breaker are 6.37 inches in height, 3.62 inches in width, and 3.62 inches in depth. The GD3050D weighs 2.1 pounds. It should be ensured that the GD3050D is suitable for the intended installation by comparing the breaker specifications with the system requirements. The breaker should be checked for completeness and also for damage before mounting.
To prevent injury and equipment damage, the breaker should be switched off before mounting and the work area should be cleared of voltage. If the breaker includes factory installed internal accessories, it should be ensured that the accessory wiring is reachable when the breaker is mounted. If the GD3050D is made to be mounted on individual mounting panels, the tap holes should be drilled according to the manufacturer’s provided drilling plan. The breaker should be installed using mounting screws and washers. For DIN rail mounting, a manufacturer-provided adapter kit which is suitable for use with the standard 35-millimeter DIN rails should be attached to the rear of the breaker. If a base mounting plate is going to be used, the plate should be attached to the breaker by clipping it to the recess provided at the line and load-end of the circuit breaker.
