The Eaton GD3040 is a thermal-magnetic circuit breaker, and part of Series C of the Eaton circuit breakers with a frame size of G. This product comes with a non-interchangeable trip unit. The GD3040 is a molded case circuit breaker in the C series operating with 3 poles at 40 Amps and 480 Volts AC, and an interruption capacity of 22 kAIC at 480 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC. The product also includes line and load terminal lugs. The GD3040 molded case circuit breaker along with its counterparts in the C Series are made for use with 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC systems. The current rating for this series of product goes up to 2500 Amps. They can also outperform the calculations listed in the IEEE standards. The Eaton brand provides a wide range of molded case circuit breaker. These circuit breakers are designed and intended for use with electrical and machinery OEMs that serve many industries and applications.
These circuit breaker designs have been proved to incorporate state-of-the-art innovation with high levels of reliability. The Series C group comprises motor circuit protectors, thermal magnetic breakers, molded case switches, electronic trip breakers, and individually designed circuit breakers for engine generators, as well as DC and mining applications. Each Type GD thermal-magnetic circuit breakers comes with cable in and cable out features. Each GD3040 circuit breaker includes mounting hardware and BMHE. For standard and certifications requirements, these circuit breakers are both UL and CSA listed. Whether 2-pole or 3-pole, the GD3040 circuit breakers are the ordinary trip type of circuit breakers. The single-pole circuit breakers are available in 15 and 20 Amps current ratings.
