The Series C Eaton HFDE322532 is a complete electronic HFD type circuit breaker. It is HACR-rated and it supports reverse feed and HID applications. HFD type circuit breakers support 15 to 225 Amps current applications. They are UL-certified and they meet the requirements of the IEC 157-1 standards. The three-pole HFDE322532 uses a Digitrip 310 RMS Electronic LSI trip unit. Its current rating is 225 Amps, its voltage ratings are 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC, and its frequency ratings are 50 and 60 Hertz. At 240 Volts AC, the HFDE322532 is rated at 100 kilo-Amps interrupt capacity, and at 480 Volts AC it is rated at 65 kilo-Amps interrupt capacity. Aluminum load side terminals are provided with the HFDE322532 and 25 to 95 square millimeters aluminum or copper wire is recommended for the terminations.
With aluminum terminals, it is recommended to use a suitable joint compound to prevent terminal overheating because terminal overheating could lead to random tripping and circuit breaker damage. Prior to installation, it is recommended to ensure that the HFDE322532 meets the installation requirements. To ensure the safety of personnel and equipment, it is recommended to ensure that the circuit breaker is switched off, that voltages are not present in the work area, and that the equipment is not energized. Servicing and testing the circuit breaker should also be performed when it is in the off state. The HFDE322532 weighs 1.9 kilograms. It is available as an F-frame device with a height of 152.4 millimeters, a width of 104.8 millimeters, and a depth of 85.7 millimeters.
