The Eaton HFDE316035 is a Series C 3-Pole Electronic Molded Case Circuit Breaker. It is equipped with an electronic non-interchangeable trip unit. This trip unit is microprocessor-controlled. It is the base of the HDFE316035 over-current protective module that performs different protective functions. The unit makes electronic LSG trips. The LSG stands for the long-time/short-time/ground type of protection. Users can install this device to protect applications with low voltage power circuits. The device has independently adjustable short time pickup with I2t short delay and ground fault protection. The Eaton HFDE316035 is a very reliable device that can be applied to circuits which are supplied with the maximum of 160 Amps. The voltage supply must not exceed 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. On the front of the device, there is a test/alarm button which users can use to bring the module to the trip position manually.
Users can set the current protection value on this circuit breaker without having to remove the enclosure. The setting is conducted over the calibrated knob on the front side of the module. The reaction of the device is defined with the protective curve which indicates the available protective functions. It shows the link of overcurrent value with the time needed for the trip unit to open the circuit. Prior to putting the Eaton HFDE316035 circuit breaker in operation, its protection setting must be customized to the users’ application needs and set to the appropriate values by the person responsible for the installation. During the installation, please make sure that the equipment is not energized.
