The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HFDE316033 is a Series C molded case circuit breaker. This is an electronic type of circuit breaker, which means that this item is equipped with an electronic tripping unit called the Digitrip RMS 310+. On this device, the trip unit is non-interchangeable. The Digitrip 310+ features true RMS sensing and it is adjustable from the front side of the device. Users can even install an optional local display to show the actual current value or the cause of trip. The Digitrip 310+ has many advanced options, and perhaps the most important one is the ability to coordinate with upstream located power breakers or with downstream located circuit breakers. This makes the Eaton HFDE316033 a cost-effective, reliable, and an excellent candidate for use in selectively coordinated systems.
The HFDE316033 has 3 poles, and it can be used with 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC supplied systems. The frequency rating is 50 Hertz or 60 Hertz, and the maximum current that can be connected to the circuit breaker is 160 Amps.
