The HFDE316032 is a Series C, HFDE type complete circuit breaker from the Eaton Corporation. It is designed for reverse feed and high-intensity discharge use. It is also HACR rated. The HFDE316032 is a three-pole circuit breaker with a 160 Amps current rating. It is rated for 100 kilo-Amps interrupt capacity at 240 Volts AC, 65 kilo-Amps interrupt capacity at 480 Volts AC and 24 kilo-Amps interrupt capacity at 600 Volts AC. It operates at 50 and 60 Hertz. The HFDE316032 uses non-interchangeable electronic LSI sensing and the trip unit which makes the inverse time delay release of the circuit breaker independent of the ambient temperature. Load-side terminals are provided with the circuit breaker.
The LSI protection style has a flat response short delay and it can be ordered with a ZSI (zone-selective interlocking) option. The material of the terminal body is aluminum. Copper or aluminum wire with 4 to 4/10 AWG is recommended for use with the terminals. It is recommended to complete the accessory installation prior to breaker mounting and connection. Serious injury, death, and property damage can occur due to contact with electrically energized equipment. Therefore the HFDE316032 should only be installed, tested, and serviced when it is not energized. It should be switched to the off position before any inspection. Standard safety procedures should be followed at all times. The HFDE316032 is available in an F-frame. The height of the circuit breaker is 6 inches, the width is 4.13 inches, and the depth is 3.38 inches. It weighs approximately 4.2 pounds.
