The HFDE308032 is an Eaton Series C Electronic Molded Case Circuit Breaker. The device functions on an Electronic Non-Interchangeable Trip Unit which provides many premium settings for the users. Its flexibility is recognized through independently adjustable short time pickup and delay. The HFDE308032 has an alarm signalization on the housing. There is an LED lamp that will be activated when there is a trip situation. Inside the module, there is a microprocessor that compares the measured current flowing through the device to the user-adjusted protection setting. Then according to the algorithm, it determines if the module will trip or not.
The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HFDE308032 has a proven design that incorporates the latest in innovation. It is a very reliable device that can protect electrical circuits which are supplied with a maximum of 80 Amps. When compared to thermomagnetic trip units, the HFDE308032 allows more accurate settings of trip times and current thresholds. Users can install this module to protect the busbar trunking tap-offs, switchgear, individual enclosures, and panelboards, in mining and other applications. It is applicable to systems supplied with voltages of up to 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HFDE308032 has the terminal on the load side only, and it is protected with 2 panheads, lock washers, and slotted screws. Users can easily check for the correct torque loading. The screws can be easily re-tightened from the front of the item before introducing the conductors. The permissible ambient temperature range for this MCCB is -20 to 70 degrees Celsius (-4 to 168 degrees Fahrenheit).
