The HFD4100 is a Series C molded case circuit breaker device and Eaton Cutler-Hammer is the sole manufacturer of this circuit breaker device. It comes inside an F frame for protection. It has a fixed thermal trip and a fixed magnetic trip. This 4-poled device runs with 100 Trip Amps. The voltage rating for this device is 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC. The operating frequency has been set at 50 to 60 Hertz. The HFD4100’s interrupt rating has been set at 100 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and it is 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC.
The HFD4100 is made for single-phase AC circuits and it comes with 100% protective poles for the DC circuit. It is an ideal solution for places where the demand for electricity is high. It can provide safety to the entire safety line when there is an overload current in the system. A power on and power off lever is present on the front face of the device. It can power on and power off and also trip the breaker. A “push to trip” button observes the tripping function and it can be used to check the operating mechanism of the breaker device. The HFD4100 weighs 6 pounds. It is 5.5 inches high, 5.5 inches wide, and 3.38 inches long. The main function of this circuit breaker device is to protect the complete electrical system from over current conditions by shutting down the circuit when it detects such a current. It comes with a 1-year warranty from the purchased date or with an 18-months warranty from the shipment date.
