The HFD2080 is a fixed thermal-magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the HFD Type molded case circuit breakers. The Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker features 65 kAIC interrupting capacity at 480 Volts AC, 25 kAIC at 600 Volts AC, panel mounting, 80 Amps of current rating, 2 poles, 600 Volts AC operating power at 50/60 Hertz and load terminals only. The Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker is contained in a NEMA F-Frame enclosure rating. The Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker is factory-sealed and the UL489 standards recommend that interior accessories be installed at the factory. The installation of interior accessories should be carried out before the Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker is mounted and connected.
The users should make sure the Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker is ready to be installed by comparing the nameplate data with the device requirements. The users should also check whether the Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker is complete and inspected for damage before mounting. Before the Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker is mounted in an electrical system, the users should ensure there is no voltage present where operations need to be performed. Otherwise, the voltage in the energized drive might result in injury or death. When manually operated, the Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker is monitored by the circuit breaker handle and the push-to-trip button. The Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker handles feature 3 indicated positions, 2 are shown on the cover that has raised lettering to show the on and off positions. On the sliding handle barrier, the on, off, and trip settings are also indicated by a color-coded strip for each of the Cutler-Hammer HFD2080 circuit breaker handle position.
