The HFD1090 is an Eaton Cutler-Hammer circuit breaker that is classified under the C Series of circuit breakers. The module comes with the F frame type and it is a single-pole circuit breaker. The voltage rating for the circuit breaker is 600 Volts AC with an option for 250 Volts DC. The amperage rating for the HFD1090 is 90 Amps and the circuit breaker is UL listed. Being an Eaton Corporation circuit breaker, the HFD1090 comes as an HACR rated device. The HFD1090 is also suitable for reverse feed use just as is the case for the other F frame circuit breakers by Eaton Cutler-Hammer.
The HFD1090 comes with RMS sensing with the interrupt rating at 480 Volts being 35, 65, and 100 kAIC. The HFD1090 comes with a ground fault pickup of 20 to 100% of the frame with a ground fault delay flat of 300 milliseconds. The HFD1090 also comes with the bolt-on line side terminal with a cable-connected load side terminal. It also features the fast-acting short circuit protection and it has a 3-position toggle handle that aids in determining the status of the circuit breaker. The 3 positions are on, off, and tripped positions. While the handle is in the on position, this enables the remote control feature to work, while in the off position, it disables the remote control feature. The handle is also capable of handling manual switching when the control power has been lost. The HFD1090 also features the HID ratings for high-intensity discharge and an auxiliary switch for control circuit feedback.
