The HFD1020 is a Series C molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. This F frame thematic magnetic circuit breaker covers a range of electric ratings. It can handle a current of 10 to 225 Amps. The HFD1020 is designed with 4 distinct poles, and the width of the equipment varies according to the number of poles available. A 1-pole device has physical dimensions of width 1.375 inches (35 millimeters), a height 6 inches (152 millimeters), and a depth 3.375 inches (86 millimeters); a 2-pole device has a width of 2.75 inches (70 millimeters), a height of 6 inches (152 millimeters) and a depth of 3.375 inches (86 millimeters); a 3-pole device has a width of 4.125 inches (105 millimeters), a height of 6 inches (152 millimeters), and a depth 3.375 inches (86 millimeters); and a 4-pole device has a width of 5.5 inches (140 millimeters), a height of 6 inches (152 millimeters), and a depth of 3.375 inches (86 millimeters). The weight of this circuit breaker is 2, 3, 4.5, or 6 pounds, depending on the number of poles it has.
The HFD1020 is designed with UL 489 interrupting capacity ratings of 65,000 kAIC at 277 Volts AC (at 50/60 Hertz) for the 1-pole version. For the 2, 3, and 4-pole versions, the kAIC rating is 100,000 kAIC for 240 Volts AC (at 50/60 Hertz), 65,000 kAIC for 480 Volts DC, and 25,000 kAIC for 600 Volts AC. For 125 Volts DC, it has 10,000 kAIC in the 1-pole version, and the 2, 3, and 4-pole versions are manufactured with 22,000 kAIC at 250 Volts DC. The HFD1020 has sealed breakers with non-interchangeable trip units. The HFD1020 is engineered with maximum control of the current flow as it corresponds to the AS 2184, the BS 4752, the C22.2 No. 5, the IEC -157, the AB1-1993, and some other standards. These international and national certifications signify the high quality of the HFD1020, which can be trusted to perform the job excellently.
