The HFD1015 is a single-pole Type HFD Cutler-Hammer thermal-magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. It belongs to the Series C, F-Frame family of Eaton Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers and it is rated at 227 Volts AC or 125 Volts DC maximum voltage, 15 Amps of current, 50 to 60 Hertz frequency, and 65 kiloamperes interrupting capacity. Its dimensions are 2.1 x 4.5 x 6.6 inches and it provides safe operation and protection for electrical equipment and circuits against overloading and fault currents. When applied within its rating, the HFD1015 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is ideal for use in low voltage systems for controlling devices such as motors and other resistive loads. It features a fixed magnetic trip and fixed thermal trip units and its compact and lightweight design minimizes the space required for mounting. The HFD1015 supports DIN rail mounting and it can also be mounted on panel boards.
The glass-polyester casing of the HFD1015 thermal magnetic circuit breaker provides insulation to ensure operator safety and protect the circuit breaker from moisture, dirt, or fungus and it has a toggle switch handle that is used for switching the circuit breaker on or off. The HFD1015 circuit breaker features screw clamp terminals on its line and load side and it is compatible with the most common circuit breaker accessories in the industry. Before resetting and closing the HFD1015 circuit breaker after it has tripped, it is essential to first detect the cause of the trip and rectify the problem because failure to do so might result in damage to the circuit breaker or the connected devices and wiring.
