The Eaton FDE308035 is an electronic circuit breaker with a non-replaceable trip unit. The breaker is meant to be used to provide protection in systems using a 3-phase power supply source. The FDE308035 does not accommodate an instantaneous trip mechanism. The breaker provides long-time, short-time, and ground fault features also known as the LSG features. The trip unit for the FDE308035 can accommodate a current of 80 Amps without tripping. The circuit breaker only has terminal lugs for the load side and it belongs to the Series C family of circuit breakers designed and manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Eaton FDE308035 molded case circuit breaker can be used in individual enclosures and also be used to provide protection for machine tool control panels and motor control centers.
Having an F frame type, the FDE308035 can comfortably be used for reverse feed use. The FDE308035 is a current limiting breaker and it uses state-of-the-art arc extinguishing technology. The circuit breaker has a handle which helps to monitor the status of the breaker. The handle can either be in the on position, which indicates that it is constantly protecting the system, or in the off position, indicating that protection is not active and that no voltage or current is passing through the FDE308035 circuit breaker. Additionally, the FDE308035 can assume the tripped position which indicates that either an overcurrent or a short circuit has occurred within the protected system. After a trip, and after the malfunction in the protected system has been fixed, the indicator handle must be put in the reset position, which is beyond the off position for the FDE308035, to resume system protection.
