The FDB2080 is a circuit breaker that has been designed and manufactured by Cutler-Hammer (Eaton Corporation). This breaker has been created according to the specifications of Frame F from Series C. The Cutler-Hammer (Eaton Corporation) FDB2080 circuit breaker operates within a voltage range of 600 Volts AC and a frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. It can also operate with a DC voltage of 250 Volts DC. The Cutler-Hammer (Eaton Corporation) FDB2080 circuit breaker features 2 poles and these poles are in charge of detecting and performing a tripping action. Regardless of which pole detected the fault first, both of them are going to act at the same time since these are connected through a common bar.
The Cutler-Hammer (Eaton Corporation) FDB2080 circuit breaker is sensitive to warm temperatures. When calibrated, a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius was used, meaning that if the breaker is intended to operate at higher temperatures, its performance could vary. The Cutler-Hammer (Eaton Corporation) FDB2080 circuit breaker can be put back into operations once a fault has been detected, corrected, and cleared. This makes the breaker a multiple time device, meaning that it can function for a long time, regardless of the number of faults that have been previously detected. It is recommended to clear the fault as soon as possible in order to save process time. The Cutler-Hammer (Eaton Corporation) FDB2080 circuit breaker is one of the most commonly used circuit breakers. It has the ability to detect and stop abnormal line currents such as load currents and short-circuit currents through a tripping mechanism before it can cause further damage to the system and equipment.
