The Eaton Cutler-Hammer FDB2030 is an FDB Type Molded Case Circuit Breaker with 30 Amps of current rating. The device can be used both to protect against overloads in electrical installations and to separate parts of electrical installations from the power supply while maintaining or installing new components. It can also be used to quickly manually turn off and turn on machines and equipment where there is no need for such a procedure. In the event of a fault, the FDB2030 molded case circuit breaker prevents an existing short-circuit from being rewired into the circuit until the fault cause has been eliminated.
The Eaton Cutler-Hammer FDB2030 is a Series C F-frame circuit breaker with 2 poles which is capable of interrupting a power rating of 14 kAIC at 600 Volts AC (50 to 60 Hertz frequency), and a power rating of 10 kAIC at 250 Volts DC. This high-performance device offers unbeatable protection from overvoltage or short circuits in the industrial automation field. The compact size of the module which has dimensions of 2.75 inches x 3.40 inches x 6.00 inches (70 millimeters x 86 millimeters x 152 millimeters) also delivers flexibility and ease of use to the users. The FDB2030 circuit breaker has been widely distributed and used for more than 20 years. Special technology is applied for making internal contacts that are built into the module. These contacts feature an arc extinguishing capability that improves equipment and operator overall safety. Furthermore, they are shaped to ensure that contacts cannot get jammed in the event of short circuit currents.
