The Eaton FD4060 is a complete Series C molded case circuit breaker. It is a UL listed and HACR rated circuit breaker; it is a four pole circuit breaker with load side terminals. The trip unit is a thermal/magnetic type module. The FD4060 has a 60 Amp current rating with 250 Volts DC and 600 Volts AC at a 50 to 60 Hertz voltage rating, 35 kiloamps interrupt capacity at 480 Volts AC and 65 kiloamps interrupt capacity at 240 Volts AC. Prior to installation, specifications of the FD4060 should be compared with the requirements. The circuit breaker should also be inspected before installation. The FD4060 is a factory-sealed circuit breaker. Field installation of accessories can be carried out where local codes permit. Accessories should be installed prior to circuit breaker mounting and connection. After mounting, the line/load terminals and leads can be connected.
Contact with energized electrical equipment can lead to injury, death and property damage. Therefore while installing or servicing the FD4060, care should be taken to ensure that the FD4060 and other electrical equipment are not energized and no voltage is present in the working area. Periodic inspection of in-service circuit breakers is recommended. During an inspection, the breaker should be in the off position. Field testing of the FD4060 must be performed as per NEMA standards The F-Frame FD4060 has a weight of 6 pounds and its dimensions are around 6.0 by 5.5 by 3.38 inches.
