The FD3225K molded case circuit breaker is part of the Eaton Cutler-Hammer C Series of circuit breakers. This series offers circuit breakers with voltage ratings of 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC, and also current ratings from 15 to 2500 Amps. The Series C circuit protection devices feature high-speed “blow-open” action and they are designed to meet the requirements of the IEEE international standard. The Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers/switches with molded cases are made for a variety of different applications and they are intended to serve as a perfect solution for any electrical and machinery OEMs. These innovative switches are extremely reliable and they can be incorporated into any system that demands proper circuit protection. The molded case switches are very compact and they are used in applications where high-current switching capabilities are needed. Besides switches with molded cases, Cutler-Hammer’s C Series offers electronic trip breakers, protectors for motor circuits, thermal-magnetic breakers, and engine generator breakers for special usage or other devices, including those for DC power or mining applications.
The Eaton Cutler-Hammer FD3225K circuit breaker has 3 poles and a maximum continuous Ampere rating at 40 degrees Celsius of 225 Amps. The FD3225K is a complete circuit breaker with a working voltage of maximum 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC. This FD type of circuit breaker comes with load side terminals only and with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip types. The interrupt rating of the FD322K circuit breaker is 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC, 18 kAIC at 600 Volts AC, and 10 kAIC at 250 Volts DC. This Series C circuit breaker has a NEMA Type F frame and it uses the panel mounting method. The dimensions of the circuit breaker include a width of 12.7 centimeters (5 inches), a height of 12.7 centimeters (5 inches), and a depth of 19.05 centimeters (7.5 inches). The weight of the device is around 2.26 kilograms (5 pounds).
