The FD3100K Eaton F Frame Molded Case Switch is 3-poled and it comes with several useful features. It is available for systems that run on 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC with current ratings of up to 2500 Amps. Being part of Series C of the Eaton case switches, the FD3100K offers superior quality and excellent motor control. This high-speed circuit breaker has a 100 Amps current rating and it measures 4.9 inches (height) x 5 inches (width) x 7.5 inches (length). It provides a high interrupting capacity of 25 kiloamps at 480 Volts AC, 10 kiloamps at 250 Volts DC, and 65 kiloamps at 240 Volts AC. With a fixed thermal-magnetic trip, a “blow-open” action feature as well as cable-in or cable-out options, the FD3100K meets most industrial application demands. In addition to delivering excellent performance and optimal reliability, the module all meets all the standards listed in the IEEE.
This Eaton circuit breaker is HACR-rated and it is suitable for use in high-intensity discharge (HID) applications. If users want a quality molded case switch that is convenient for reverse feed use, Eaton’s FD3100K is a good option. Its unique features are hard to find in other devices that are designed to perform similar functions. It is suitable for numerous industrial needs, including panelboards, busways, motor control centers, and switchboard applications for optimum branch circuit protection. Designed for both electrical as well as for machinery Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that serve various industries and applications, the FD3100K comes complete with a non-interchangeable trip unit as well as with load side terminals. However, it important to note that the FD3100K does not offer overcurrent protection and it features a non-automatic switch.
