The Eaton Cutler-Hammer FD2200 molded case circuit breaker is a 2-pole circuit breaker with cable in/cable out features and a fixed thermal magnetic trip. This circuit breaker has a case designed according to the NEMA specifications and its F frame is built to last. In general, the F frame circuit breakers are rated from 15 Amps to 225 Amps with different versions used for different applications. The FD2200 circuit breaker is part of a series which is listed in accordance with the UL 489 standards and it fulfills the requirements of the International Electrotechnical Commission Recommendation No. IEC 157-1. The FD2200 circuit breaker features a voltage rating of 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC, as well as the maximum continuous current rating of 200 Amps at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. The breakers from this series are used for demanding systems and they represent an efficient and cost-effective solution for different applications.
This thermal magnetic FD type circuit breaker is 2.75 inches wide, 3.38 inches long, and 6 inches long. The FD2200 circuit breaker uses a special handle and its PUSH-TO-TRIP button for manual operation. The manual operation handle has 3 positions, 2 of which are shown on the cover (ON/OFF). Besides that, the users can see the color-coded strip for each handle position on the sliding handle barrier. The ON position is shown in red while the OFF and TRIPPED positions are shown in green and white, respectively. If the users require field testing, such procedures must be carried out in accordance with the applicable NEMA standards. Even though these circuit breakers have fewer options than others because they are designed for domestic purposes, they have a lot of features in general for specific needs and also to provide many accessories that could be added later on. The FD2200 circuit breaker can be further enhanced with either internal or external accessories.
