The FD2100 is a Series C complete molded case circuit breaker manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. It is a thermal magnetic type of MCCB. It has a fixed thermal and a fixed magnetic trip. The FD2100 is a 2-pole molded case circuit breaker with the current rating of 100 Amps. The item is connected to 600 Volts AC voltage or 250 Volts DC voltage. The breaking capacity of the FD2100 depends on the voltage being used. This rating is 25 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC, 18 kAIC at 600 Volts AC, and 10 kAIC at 250 Volts DC. The central part of this MCCB is the handle in the middle of the front panel of the device. It indicates the status of the contacts. It will show the users whether the contacts are closed, open, or tripped. If the handle is in a midway position, this means that the contacts are tripped.
To reset the device, users have to pull the handle below the reset position and then pull it up to the “ON” state. The FD2100 has a length of 3.38 inches (86 millimeters), a height of 6.00 inches (152 millimeters), and a width of 2.75 inches (70 millimeters). It has an F frame housing that is the base on which to mount all of the circuit breaker components. The frame is built from a thermoset composite resin in order to bring high dielectric strength to this heavy-duty device. The item weighs 3.05 pounds (1.38 kilograms). The terminals of the FD2100 MCCB (load terminals) support the connecting of 2.5 to 50 square millimeters size wires. The device is UL listed.
