The Eaton Cutler-Hammer FD2090 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is a multipurpose circuit breaker with a non-adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit, used for circuit protection in a variety low voltage applications. This circuit breaker (Frame F) like all frame F designs are built to protect users electrical devices from circuit overload and short-circuits, and it non-adjustable trip unit design protect against manual adjustment which may lead to any human error. The FD2090 is designed for applications with 600 Volt AC, 250 Volt DC maximum operating voltage, and it has a continuous current rating of 90 Amps. This circuit has a maximum interrupting rating of 65 KAIC at 482 Volt AC, suitable for protecting users devices like Motor and motor starter from overload and short-circuit.
The FD2090 has 2-pole wiring design which can be wired for single phase applications, and like most FD frames circuit breakers, it is used for reverse feed wiring applications. This device has only load end terminals made of Aluminium/Copper material, and it can be installed at a maximum altitude of 6000 feet above sea level, without de-rating. The FD2090 has an operating temperature range of between 0 to 40 degree Celsius, within which the carrying current is equal to the nominal rating, but any temperature above 40 degree Celsius, the carrying current will become less than the nominal current rating. It has total shipping dimension of 70 x 152.4 x 86 millimeters (2.75 x 6.0 x 3.38 inches), and it has an approximate weight of 1.4 Kilogram (3.0 pounds).
