The Eaton FD2015 is 2-pole Series C complete molded case circuit breaker. The circuit breaker has a length of 3.5 inches, a width of 5.2 inches, and a height of 7.5 inches. For the current rating, the FD2015 operates optimally at a current of 15 Amps and for the operating voltage, the circuit breaker accommodates both AC and DC voltage at 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC, respectively. The FD2015 has a gross weight of 3 pounds and a magnetic (fixed) and thermal (fixed) trip type which supports instantaneous trip functions. The Eaton FD2015 2-pole complete molded case circuit breaker only has terminals on the load side. The FD2015 is a Type FD circuit breaker and it is suitable for protecting systems that use a single-phase power supply.
The circuit breaker has an AIC interrupt rating of 10 kA at 250 Volts DC, 18 kA at 600 Volts AC, 35 kA at 480 Volts AC, and 65 kA at 240 Volts AC. Since the FD2015 has an F-frame type, it is factory sealed with a UL489 listing that dictates that all its internal components should be installed during manufacture. Before installing the FD2015, ensure that it is the suitable type by comparing the nameplate data with the system requirements. Additionally, signs of wear or damage should also be carefully checked to minimize the chances of injury to the operators. Where an individual mounting panel is used to mount the FD2015, it should be predrilled using a bolt drilling plan.
