The FD1015 is a molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer FD1015 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the FD type of Eaton molded case circuit breakers. The Cutler-Hammer FD1015 circuit breaker features ratings of 1 pole, 15 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius, 277 Volts AC at 50/60 Hertz, 125 Volts DC, a standard terminal, 25 kAIC at 277 Volts AC, 10 kAIC at 125 Volts DC, and a fixed magnetic trip type. The Cutler-Hammer FD1015 circuit breaker is contained in a Frame F enclosure type. The Cutler-Hammer FD1015 circuit breaker is configured with an alarm switch design for indicating an automatic trip function remotely. The alarm switch does not allow for manual switching, however, the alarm switches functions during the operation of undervoltage release or shunt trip. The alarm switch employs the “break” contact for opening and the “make” contact for closing during its operation. The alarm switch resets independently and simultaneously after the Cutler-Hammer FD1015 circuit breaker has been reset.
The Cutler-Hammer FD1015 circuit breaker also features an auxiliary switch for providing information about the circuit breaker contact status by controlling the position of the molded crossbar which consists of movable contact arms. The Cutler-Hammer FD1015 circuit breaker’s auxiliary switch is also utilized to verify the interlock unit and the remote indication of the circuit breaker. The auxiliary switch features 1 or 2 SPDT switches contained in the plug-in device. The Cutler-Hammer FD1015 circuit breaker is configured with a shunt trip unit for providing tripping control remotely. The shunt trip unit is made up of an intermittent rated solenoid that has a plunger for tripping, and a break-off switch configured to a plug-in device. The shunt trip reset lever is actuated by the handle during the resetting of the Cutler-Hammer FD1015 circuit breaker, causing the shunt trip to reset. The plug-in device is installed in the slots which are located at the topside of the shunt trip.
