The Eaton Cutler-Hammer EHD3035 Molded Case Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breaker is a factory-assembled breaker unit in the Series C Frame FD series of breakers with fixed thermal-magnetic trip units and 3-pole wiring that is used for line protection against short-circuits and current overloads. This breaker is designed to offer instantaneous overload protection to circuit conductors and to connected electronic appliances like motors and motor starters, and it is also designed and rated for use in heating, air-conditioning, and refrigerating applications. The EHD3035 has a continuous current rating of 35 Amps, with a maximum fault limit of 65 kAIC (Kilo-Amps Interrupting Capacity), and it is built for applications with 600 Volts AC/250 Volts DC maximum line voltage.
The factory-assembled unit comprises standard steel (copper/aluminum) line and load side terminals with terminal covers which are connected to each pole (3-pole), and each terminal has a standard wire area of 2.5 by 4 millimeters square. The EHD3035 has a non-adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit which provides instantaneous thermal and magnetic trip actions using a current-heated bimetal strip and a line of a series of connected electromagnets. It also has a mechanical trip-free operating mechanism which mechanically holds the breaker contacts from closing in an unusual current condition, and it also indicates the state of the breaker (on, tripped, off). It has a maximum operating temperature limit of 40 degrees Celsius, but it can be calibrated for higher ambient temperatures if need be. The EHD3035 has total shipping dimensions of 4.13 x 6.0 x 3.38 inches, and a net shipping weight of 4.5 pounds.
