The Cutler-Hammer EHD2080 is a 2-pole molded case circuit breaker. It is a Cutler-Hammer C Series circuit breaker that has thermal and magnetic trip unit controls. These controls are fixed, so this MCCB is not adjustable. The EHD2080 can be connected to line voltages up to 480 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The device’s DC ratings are only applicable for the non-inductive electrical circuits. The amperage rating of the circuit breaker is 80 Amps. The interrupting capacity of the module at 480 Volts AC is 14 kAIC and it is 10 kAIC at 250 Volts DC. The Cutler-Hammer EHD2080, like all other F frame-sized MCCBs, is suitable for reverse feed use.
It is designed to be a reliable device used to protect electrical circuits and yet maintain efficient power delivery in normal operating conditions. The protecting mechanisms (thermal and magnetic) will be activated in cases of overcurrent, overloads, or short circuit. Its enclosure is built to protect the operator because the operator cannot access the internal mechanisms of the device. The Cutler-Hammer EHD2080 has a small and compact housing. Its dimensions are 3.38 inches (86 millimeters) by 4.12 inches (105 millimeters) by 2.75 inches (70 millimeters). The module is installed on panel boards in electrical cabinets, in horizontal or in the vertical position. It can be easily mounted onto a DIN rail. Keep the ambient temperatures in the cabinet between -20 and 70 degrees Celsius (-4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) for this device to operate properly. The item weight is around 3 pounds (1.4 kilograms). The device is UL-listed.
