The EHD2010 is a Circuit Breaker from Series C manufactured by Eaton (formerly Cutler-Hammer). The device has a Type F frame and a molded case. The EHD2010 has 2 poles and a 10 Amp maximum continuous current rating at 40 degrees Celsius. It features an arc extinguisher technology that makes it usable for applications with 14 kAIC interruption rating at 480 Volts AC input voltage. This is also the maximum voltage that can be applied to this molded case circuit breaker without damaging the device. The EHD2010 has a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism that is not interchangeable. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer EHD2010 supports numerous accessories that can further extend its capabilities. The most usual ones are auxiliary switches and connectors for multiple wires. For the purpose of device control protection, you can upgrade the EHD2010 with the lockable handle blocker external accessory or with the cylinder lock. This MCCB should be occasionally inspected to ensure that the tripping mechanism is performing as required. You can use the red PUSH-TO-TRIP button for this purpose.
When installing or removing the EHD2010, always deactivate the power source that is supplying the input side of the device; this is to avoid dangerous effects on the breaker and to keep the personnel performing the installation safe. You will need 2.75 x 6.00 x 3.38 inches (70 x 86 x 35 millimeters) of space available to install the EHD2010. Its shipping weight is approximated at 1.36 kilograms (3.0 pounds). This molded case circuit breaker is applied only to distribution systems with 50 to 60 Hertz rating.
