The EHD1050 is a molded case circuit breaker that is designed and manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. Eaton is one of the leading brands worldwide when it comes to power distribution and quality, monitoring, automation, and control products that are used to enhance the performance of complex systems that operate machinery in various industries. The circuit breakers from Series C are used for a variety of different applications and they are available in different frame types and with different amperage and voltage ratings. The expanded product line is intended for the domestic market and it offers several options and various features that will provide the necessary functionality in order to protect the system from current overloads and short circuits. The addition of the right circuit protection device will ensure that a safe environment is set and that the equipment is protected. Systems without proper circuit protection are more vulnerable and can be dangerous for operators and if unwanted events occur, the losses can be devastating.
The EHD1050 circuit breaker is manufactured with trip units that cannot be interchanged and it includes terminals that are only on the load end. The breaker features a single pole and voltage/ interrupting capacity rating of a maximum of 277 Volts AC or 125 Volts DC and 14 kAIC at 277 Volts AC. The EHD circuit breakers are available within a 10 to 100 Amps current rating but this specific model has an amperage rating of 50 Amps. Also, the EHD1050 features a molded case and an F frame that has a NEMA mark. In addition to that, this model has cable in/cable out ports and a fixed thermal magnetic trip type. The dimensions of this EHD circuit breaker are as follows (H x W x D): 152.4 millimeters (6 inches) x 34.8 millimeters (1.38 inches) x 85.7 millimeters (3.38 inches).
