The Cutler-Hammer EDS3200 is a three-pole complete molded case circuit breaker. The device is equipped with a thermal magnetic release as a protective mechanism for applications. It is suitable to be used in applications that have around 20% less current consumption than this device can deliver (200 Amps). The interrupting capacity (kA symmetrical amperes) of the EDS3200 is 42 kAIC at 240 Volts AC (50 to 60 Hertz) or 10 kAIC at 125 Volts DC. Note that operating characteristics of the MCCB can vary depending on the ambient temperature. The device has been tested for a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).
The EDS3200 MCCB, like all of Eaton’s Cutler-Hammer F-Frame Circuit Breakers, is HACR rated. The device is usable for HID (High-Intensity Discharge) and for reverse feed. The circuit breaker is factory-sealed. It is UL489 certified. Generally, any MCCB must be assembled before installation in a system and before being put to use. Always check the condition of the device for damage before mounting it into the system. The Eaton EDS3200 is packed in highly-isolated housing with dimensions of 3.38 inches x 6.00 inches x 2.75 inches (86 millimeters x 152 millimeters x 70 millimeters). The device should be installed to mounting panels over predrilled holes (read the bolt drilling plan from the instruction manual). Fix the device with mounting screws, washers, and nuts. Do not exceed 28 pounds per inch of torque when tightening the screws.
