The EDS3150 is a circuit breaker with a molded case which is part of the Series C from Eaton. Eaton is an innovative manufacturer of protective solutions for power distribution systems, and control, monitoring, and automation systems. The main purpose of a circuit breaker of this type is to provide the necessary levels of reliability, flexibility, and safety to a system. This circuit breaker series offers many different variations with different frame sizes, ratings, and options. The MCCB products will provide reduced costs and enhance the system that is being controlled. Depending on the requirements of the applications, the users can choose from 8 different frames that are available for these circuit breakers.
This circuit breaker has a 42 kAIC interrupting rating at 240 Volts AC and an amperage rating of 150 Amps. This breaker with an F frame operates on either 240 Volts AC or 125 Volts DC input voltage while having a standard 50/60 frequency rating. It is important to mention that this breaker has 3 poles and it features fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip types. In addition to that, the EDS3150 circuit breaker has load side terminals, like most of the breakers from this series of products. The EDS3150 circuit breaker is certified according to UL and CSA and it comes in a standard size and with factory installed accessories. In regard to the ambient temperature for the EDS3150 circuit breaker, the breaker operates in temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius (32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit) but it can be adjusted with special calibration to work in temperatures from -20 to 70 degrees Celsius (-4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit). The circuit breaker’s weight is 1.95 kilograms or 4.3 pounds and its dimensions are 127 millimeters (5 inches) in width, 127 millimeters (5 inches) in height, and 190.5 millimeters (7.5 inches) in length.
