The Cutler-Hammer EDS2150 is a Series C molded case circuit breaker with an F frame type. The circuit breaker, as with other Eaton circuit breakers with this frame type, is HACR rated. The EDS2150 can be used in feeder pillars to provide main and branch circuit protection. The breaker can also be used in busbar trunking tap-offs. The EDS2150 has 2 poles and it is panel mountable. The interrupting capacity rating for the circuit breaker is rated at 42 kAIC at a voltage rating of 240 Volts AC and a frequency range of 50 to 60 Hertz. The EDS2150 has a case that is manufactured from glass-polyester and which shields the case from moisture and fungus. Molded case circuit breakers from the Eaton Corporation are carefully manufactured to conform to the British Standards, Canadian Standards, and the Japanese standards, among other international and local standards.
All Westinghouse molded case circuit breakers, including the EDS2150, can be ordered with detailed test documentation, although this has to be requested during the order process. The EDS2150 has a current rating of 150 Amperes and a maximum voltage rating of 240 Volts AC. The Eaton EDS2150 complete molded case circuit breaker contains a non-interchangeable trip unit which employs a fixed thermal fixed magnetic trip mechanism. The EDS2150 features load side lug terminals. Having a molded case and being factory sealed, the circuit breaker is suitably designed to provide a long service life without maintenance. However, frequent tests should be performed to ensure that the EDS2150 is still fit to protect the circuit it is attached to.
