The Eaton EDB2200 circuit breaker is a special device that is used for circuit protection and the prevention of overloads and short circuits for elements that are parts of the system in an industrial environment. This circuit breaker is part of Series C and it is manufactured and designed by the Eaton Corporation. The EDB2200 molded case circuit protection device comes as a complete breaker and it features a fixed thermal/fixed magnetic trip type and a load side terminals. In addition to that, this circuit breaker has an F frame and two poles. The continuous current rating at 40 degrees Celsius of EDB type circuit breakers with an F frame is between 100 and 225 Amps. The EDB2200 model has a current rating of 200 Amps and an operating frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. The EDB type of circuit breaker also has a UL listed interrupting rating (RMS Symmetrical Amperes) of 22 kAIC at 240 Volts AC.
The Eaton circuit breakers are intended for professional use in environments with strict working conditions and their main purpose is to protect the controlled systems which generate low voltage. If such circuit breakers are used, there is little or no chance of equipment failure. These essential parts of the system will certainly protect the staff and prevent equipment damage. The EDB2200 circuit breaker is, just like any other circuit breaker from this series and with this kind of frame, considered to be an HACR-rated device and suitable for reverse feed usage. The height and width of the EDB2200 circuit breaker are 698 millimeters (2.75 inches) and 858 millimeters (3.38 inches). Usually, EDB circuit breakers are all made in THE same dimensions and with the same frame type. The EDB2200 model weighs only 1.3 kilograms or 3 pounds. This circuit breaker operates at the same temperature levels as other devices from this series and they should not be used in environments with temperatures below 0 or above 40 degrees Celsius unless they are calibrated to work in different temperature ranges.
