The Eaton Cutler-Hammer S801T30N3D reduced voltage starter is a multi-functional soft starter for the industrial Eaton S801 line of reduced voltage soft starters that are designed to control the acceleration and deceleration of 3-phase induction motors. The S801 line of soft starters are designed to be very compact, easy to install, and easy to program, and they come with built-in overload protection and save maintenance costs. The S801T30N3D soft starter has an operating voltage range of 200 to 600 Volts AC, with a maximum current rating of 304 Amps, and a standard duty rating of 125 Horsepower. It has an average ramp time range between 0.5 and 180 seconds depending on the current application’s requirements.
The S801T30N3D soft starter has an internal bypass contactor with a 10-minute mechanical lifespan that helps to significantly reduce the heat generated by the soft starter and it has simplified wiring. This starter has an insulation voltage rating of 660 Volts AC, and a voltage impulse withstand rating of up to 6000 Volts AC. The S801T30N3D soft starter offers the selectable ramp start, kick start, current limiting, and soft stop modes, and it provides protection against over-temperature, stall, jam, phase loss, and phase reversal situations. Like every S801 starter, the S801T30N3D soft starter has a 3-pole wiring design, and it comes with a lead type add-on lug kit connector for easy wiring. This starter has a 24 Volts DC control, which enhances safety, and a Class A and Class C relay contact with a 240 Volts AC operating voltage rating. The S801T30N3D soft starter has a functional temperature range of -30 to 50 degrees Celsius, and it is suitable for operating at up to 95% non-condensing relative humidity. It weighs approximately 21 kilograms with the lugs, and it has dimensions of 194.4 x 322.9 x 169.8 millimeters.
