The 2711-T10G10 is a PanelView 1000 Grayscale Terminal with 10.4-inch Touch Screen. It has a DeviceNet Communication & RS-232 Printer Port. The Operator terminal belongs to the 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminal family. The hardware is used as Human Machine Interface (HMI) where real-time process control can be achieved through the terminal. The 2711-T10G10 support custom designed graphics configured using the PanelBuilder32 software. The Panelbuilder32 software is a Microsoft Windows based application where the operator terminals runtime behavior, function and graphics are designed. The operator interacts to the process by pressing on the screen objects that represent the actual devices and equipment. Real-time process information and data are exchanged through the built-in DeviceNet communication port for connection with Devicenet enabled devices. The RS232 Printer port supports connection to alarm printer where alarm list and messages can be documented for historization and process analysis. The Operator terminal is AC powered with a power supply range of 85…264V AC and frequency of 47…63 Hz. It has a built-in memory of 310 KB for application runtime and 1008 KB of nonvolatile memory for application objects, text and bitmaps. The Non-volatile memory can be expanded with the use of ATA memory cards ranging from 2-32 Flash memory. The terminal is modular in form where major components can be replaced and some features can be added. Replaceable parts include the screen backlight and Real-Time clock. Add-on components include anti-glare overlays, memory modules, interface modules, Mounting hardware and power supply terminal block. Optional upload, download and communication cables can be ordered when communicating with different types of PLC including Allen Bradley products. PLCs such as PLC5, MicroLogix, SLC, CompactLogix and ControlLogix are compatible partner devices of the operator terminal. It also supports communication between protocol gateways and 3rd party products
