The 2711-K5A1 is a PanelView 550 which belongs to the Bulletin 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminal product family. The unit has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 256 x 128. The terminal has a Remote I/O (RIO) communication port for communicating with Allen Bradley RIO IO enabled devices or 3rd party devices with RIO interface. A secondary built-in RS232 port dedicated for printing alarm list and messages cyclically or tag triggered. The terminal has Monochrome LCD blue mode display with display area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 in.) and backlight lifespan of 100,000 hr. The 2711-K5A1 supports alarm handling, screen security, analog gauges, ATA memory card. Interact and control the process through the operator terminal’s Keypad. It has Ten (10) Function keys (F1 to F10) assignable to specific runtime objects and functions. The 2711-K5A1 rated power supply input range is 85-264V AC, with a frequency of 47-63 Hz. The terminal has a Random Access Memory (RAM) of 170KB and 240KB non-volatile memory. Optionally, the terminal’s memory can be expanded with the use of an ATA memory card with memory ranging from 2MB to 32 flash memory. The Operator terminal have add-on accessories and replaceable parts such as antiglare overlays, function key legend inserts, backlight replacements, Real-time clock modules, mounting hardware, Power supply terminal block and interface modules, communication cables and upload / download cables. Runtime operation and PanelView 550 terminal can be configured using PanelBuilder32 software. Create process mimic display using the software elements such as Pushbuttons, Selector switches, Screen Selectors, Data Entry objects, Information displays, Alarm diagnostics and a variety of drawing elements ranging from basic shapes, custom graphics, standard ISA symbols and bitmap images. Communication modules may be installed to the PanelView 550 terminal. Communication options such as Personal computer interface converter which converts RS-232 signals to/from DH-485 signals, Isolated link coupler for DH-485 network and MicroLogix advanced interface converter module enables data exchange to devices and connection to other industry standard protocol.
