The Allen-Bradley 2711-T6C8L1 Human Machine Interface (HMI) is a product of Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation under the PanelView Standard Operator Terminals. This rugged terminal can be used in different industries where automation requirements are needed in the plant / factory floor level. The HMI complies with multiple international certifications with built-in internal protection to cope with varying environmental, mechanical and electrical certifications. It provides process visualization through its 5-inch screen that has a resolution 320 x 234 and display area of 115 x 86 mm (4.54 x 3.4 in.). The screen support fixed palette of 16 standard EGA colors. It supports deployment of graphics with defined color animation to suit the serviced application. All colors in an application is defined using the configuration software and are not selectable at the terminal. Operator is able to input commands through the touchscreen interface which has 128 touch cells, arranged in 16 columns, with each column having 8 rows of cells. The touchscreen is capable of up to 1 million presses. The built-in Data Highway Plus (DH+) allows communication to DH+ devices. Use DH+protocol to communicate with a PLC-5 controller on the Allen-Bradley DH+ link via the processor’s DH+ port, communicate with an SLC 5/04 controller (Channel 1 port) on the Allen-Bradley DH+ link via the processor’s DH+ port, communicate with a ControlLogix controller on the Allen-Bradley DH+ link via the 1756-DHRIO module and transfer applications over the DH+ link from a computer with a DH+ connection. Use the RS232 printer port for printer communication to send alarm lists and messages for printing. The Allen-Bradley 2711-T6C3L1 touchscreen terminal operates with an DC voltage range of 18 to 32 Volts DC. The application in the PanelView terminal is designed using the PanelBuilder32 software.
