The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 2711-K6C8 is a Human Machine Interface Device capable of implementing real time process interaction to a machine or process. This PanelView 600 is a rugged hardware capable of being installed in multiple industries with varying plant conditions. The HMI terminal visually updates the process operator regarding the status of devices and equipment in the process by means of the 5-inch colored screen. The screen provides runtime view of the actual process conditions, measurements and system data. The operator inputs control, manipulation or adjustments through the 10 button Function keys from, F1 to F10. Operator actions include start and stop, open and close, launching system dialog, alarm acknowledgement, user log-in and log-out and other configurable functions. Data is simultaneously communicated to and from the process by means of the Data Highway Plus (DH+) communication port. Data Highway Plus (DH+) is an Allen-Bradley proprietary software capable of implementing multi-node data exchange over a 3 wire as physical layer. Alarm historization can be accomplished through the built-in RS232 printer port. This printer port can be communicated with any IBM character enhanced printer to print alarm list and messages. The operator terminal comes with a memor of 170KB RAM and 240KB non-volatile memory. The internal circuitry is powered by an AC source rated 85-264 VAC. The HMI hardware is configured using PanelBuilder32 software. When wiring the terminal, follow publication NFPA 70E, Electrical Safety Requirements for Employee Workplaces. Additionally, a general rule shall be observe when installing the terminal such as connecting the power to own branch circuit, input power is protected by thermal protection devices such as fuse or circuit breaker of not more than 15 amperes and a separate run of communication wiring and power wiring.
