The Allen Bradley 2711-B6C15L1 is a discontinued product of Allen-Bradley for the 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminals. This terminal is a PanelView 600 where process visualization, operator action and data exchange are performed and initiated. This operator terminal is a DC powered version as indicated by the L1 designation in the part number. The electronic circuitry is powered by a rated input of 18-32V DC, 24V DC being the nominal input. The 5-inch colored screen has a resolution of 320 x 234 pixels and display area of 115 x 86 mm (4.54 x 3.4 in.). It is being illuminated by a halogen backlight component with an expected lifespan of 50,000 hr 1/2 life at 25 °C (77 °F). The backlight is field replaceable with the part number 2711-NL5. The screen displays the runtime objects including the equipment, device and process status as well as analog variables and colored animations. The 2711-B6C15L1 allows the Operator to respond to the process via the Keypad and Touchscreen interface. The keypads are made up of 10 function keys, F1 to F10 each assignable to perform specific tasks according to the current displayed screen. The Touchscreen is made up of 128 cells with designed lifespan of 1 million presses. These interfaces enable real-time process interaction improving operator response time thru informative visualizations. Process visualization and terminal runtime is designed using the PanelBuilder 32 software. It is a legacy software used to develop HMI applications compatible for PanelView Standard Operator terminals. The software has a built-in library of objects such as pushbuttons, numeric display and entry, alarms lists, trends, ISA symbols and support for bitmap images import. It also has a variety of drawing and arranging tools to accurately create a process mimic. The built-in ControlNet port allows high-speed data exchange with partner devices such as PLCs, gateways, converters and other 3rd party products. The secondary RS232 printer port allows sending of print queues to an alarm printir for documentation of alarm lists and messages.
