The 2711-T5A16L1 Human Machine Interface (HMI) hardware is an Allen- Bradley PanelView 550 product belonging to the PanelView Standard Operator Terminal category. This HMI device enables control of process, machine or equipment through operator actions introduced from the terminal and real-time data exchange between the data highway and visualization area. The visualization area is composed of a 5.5-inch monochrome blue mode LCD touch screen. The Monochrome screen has a resolution of 256 x 128 pixels and display area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 in.). Monitoring actions and analysis is accomplished through this screen. The HMI hardware touch screen interface serves as the operator input area where control commands and systems actions are initiated. It is made up of 128 touch cells with actuation lifespan of 1 million presses. The 2711-T5A16L1 communicates through the RS232 DF1 compatible port. It also has a built-in RS232 printer port for interfacing to an alarm printer. The 2711-T5A16L1 PanelView terminal complies with the EMC directive 89/336/EEC and electromagnetic compatibility including amending directives. The terminal is designed to be installed in an enclosure NEMA type 12/13 and 4X or equivalent ratings. Ensure that the instalaltion offers enough protection to the hardware’s internal circuitry. During installation, maintain at least 2-inch clearance to all sides of the terminal to ensure adequate air flow and working space for additional modules. The operator Terminal has a rated supply of 24 Volt DC. It has an application runtime of 170 KB and 240 KB nonvolatile memory. The application downloaded to the hardware is developed using the PanelBuilder 32 software. The PanelBuilder32 software is a Microsoft Windows application compatible with windows 2000, XP and Vista Business.
