The 2711-K5A5L1 is a Monochrome PanelView 550 Human Machine Interface (HMI) terminal. It is an spare part product manufactured by Allen-Bradley for the 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminal line. The terminal has 5.5-inch Monochrome screen. The screen has a resolution of 256 x 128 and display area of 120 x 60 mm. A backlight is used to illuminate the graphic area with expected lifespan of 100,000 hr LED life. The backlight is field replaceable with a 2711-NL1, Halogen backlight lamp for all PV550 terminals. Anti-glare overlays can also be added to the device to minimize reflection. Compatible anti-glare overlay for this PanelView terminal is 2711-NV4. Ten (10) Function Keys installed in the terminals front panel which are assignable to screen objects to perform local or global screen assignments. The keypad can be operated up to 1 million presses and can be optionally installed with a 2711-NF1 Function Key Legend Inserts for clear labelling of keys. The built-in primary RS232 port is compatible with DH458 protocol. This port allows the terminal to exchange real-time data between DH485 capable devices whether peer to peer or in multi-drop topology. Add-on interface modules allows the PanelView to extend communication capability of the unit. Interface modules such as 1747 PIC, 1747-AIC and 1761-NET-AIC can be added to improve the communication capabilities of the module. The secondary RS232 Printer port is for printing alarm list and messages. Real-Time clock modules may also be added to provide an independent internal clock. The 2711-NB2 is a Real time clock module for PV550 (Series D or earlier) terminals. Use real-time clock for application where accurate time is required or when time dependent sequence initiation is needed such as scheduling of machine and equipment for HVAC applications. Other components that can be added to the terminal are ATA Flash memory cards with memory options of 2, 4, 8, 10 and 32 MB Flash memory. Power supply terminal block, Mounting clips and studs, Mounting hardware and communication cables. The 2711-K5A5L1has a dimension of 282 x 423 x 112 mm (11.11 x 16.64 x 4.40 in.).
