The 2711-K5A2L1 is a Monochrome PanelView 550 Human Machine Interface (HMI) terminal. It is an spare part product manufactured by Allen-Bradley for the 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminal line. It can be used generally on any process industry where plant-level automation is implemented. The terminal enables process monitoring and control though the PanelView terminal. The 2711-K5A2L1 is a DC powered HMI terminal with a rated supply of 18-32V DC (24V DC nom). The terminal comes with a power supply input terminal installed at the back panel. It has two (2) separate diagnostic LED lamps to indicate system status and data communication activity. When installing the terminal, consider an installation depth of 86 mm (3.39 in.). When using add-on components such as memory card retainer, increase the installation depth to 118 mm (4.64 in.) with memory card retainer. When used with a memory card retainer and an add0on non-volatile memory, increase the installation depth space to 207 mm (8.15 in.) with memory card retainer and clearance to insert and remove memory card. This allows insertion space for the memory card itself. The terminal provides process visualization through the 5.5 inch Monochrome screen. The screen has a resolution of 256 x 128 and display area of 120 x 60 mm. A backlight is used to illuminate the graphic area with expected lifespan of 100,000 hr LED life. The backlight is field replaceable. The terminal has embedded keypad composed of Ten (10) Function Keys assignable to screen objects to perform local or global screen functions. The operator inputs control commands, process triggers, alarm acknowledgement through this keypad. The built-in DH485 communication port allows the terminal to exchange real-time data between DH485 capable devices whether peer to peer or in multi-drop topology. The 2711-K5A2L1has a dimension of 282 x 423 x 112 mm (11.11 x 16.64 x 4.40 in.). When installing the operator terminal, consider wiring provision, maintenance space and interface modules insertions space. The operator terminal supports replacement of backlight and real-time clock. The features can also be expanded accordingly by installing interface modules, Non-volatile expansion flash cards, power supply terminal block, function key legend inserts, Anti-glare overlays and PLC specific communication cables.
