The 2711-B5A15L1 is a PanelView 550 Standard Operator Terminal product. The terminal can receive configuration files containing graphics runtime of a system or process. The PanelView 550 is ideal for small size processes and applications, typically installed near the machine or flush mounted to a control panel to serve as the Human Machine Interface (HMI). The 2711-B5A15L1 is shipped with default factory settings without an application. Create and download graphics runtime using the PanelBuilder32 software. The Panelbuilder32 is the common software used in developing applications for Allen-Bradley’s PanelView Standard Operator Terminals. Real-time process visualization is seen through the 5.5-inch screen and a resolution of 256 x 128. It uses a field backlight with lifespan of 50,000 hr 1/2 life at 25 °C (77 °F). The backlight is field replaceable with Allen-Bradley part number 2711-NL1. Keypad and Touch functions enable process control and manipulation. Function keys F1 to F10 comprise the stainless-steel keypad interface. Screen objects are each assigned to the keypad, classified a global and local function. Touchscreen feature manipulates the process by touching the graphic object directly showed in the screen. Both Touchscreen and keypad are designed to work up to 1 million presses and actuations. Process connection is made through the ad and written though the built-in primary ControlNet port. The terminal ships with a secondary built-in RS232 port dedicated for printing of Alarm list and messages.
