The 92-00988-02 is an operator interface keyboard from Eaton Cutler-Hammer and from the PanelMate 1000 series. During installation, the 92-00988-02 should be protected from dust, moisture, corrosive vapors, and other contaminants. The operating ambient temperature around the device should be between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius and the humidity of the environment should be non-condensing between 20 and 95%. The temperature around the device should be maintained within the limits to ensure proper operation of the device. Users can install cooling fans to maintain the temperature if the temperature goes above the limits. If the temperature goes below the limit, it is recommended to install a heater to increase the temperature within the specified limits. Proper heat dissipation measures are necessary for longer life expectancy for the machine.
Make sure the fans are clean and the vents are not covered in dust. It is advised to clean the dust out from time to time. The device should be installed with the minimum clearances as mentioned by the manufacturer to maintain the temperatures. When installing the 92-00988-02, follow the guidelines mentioned by the manufacturer in the installation manuals and follow the safety guidelines mentioned. It is necessary to follow the electrostatic discharge guidelines to prevent damage to the equipment due to electrostatic discharge.
