The Eaton / Cutler-Hammer HVX075A1-4A1N1 is an adjustable frequency drive that operates at a maximum horsepower of 75.0 HP. The HVX075A1-4A1N1 is meant to be used with 3-phase inverter duty motors. The drive measures 24.8 inches high, 9.3 inches wide, and 10.1 inches depth. The HVX075A1-4A1N1 has an Input/Output voltage rating of 480 volts Alternating Current, a maximum output current of 105 amperes, and a 100 percent starting torque at a frequency of 1 Hertz. The HVX075A1-4A1N1 has an input frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz, an output frequency rating of between 0 and 320 Hertz, and a variable acceleration/deceleration time that ranges from 0 to 50 minutes. The stop and start options for the HVX075A1-4A1N1 adjustable frequency drive are programmable. This drive is controlled through frequency control open loop sensorless vector control; additionally, the HVX075A1-4A1N1 can bear an input signal (control) that has a voltage ranging from 0 to 10 Volts DC and a current that does not exceed 20 milliamperes and does not fall below 4 milliamperes. To prepare the module for the harsh industrial environment, the drive has a motor stall, motor over/under load, excess temperature, earth fault, under/over voltage, input/motor phase, and excess current protection.
The HVX075A1-4A1N1 should be installed in an enclosure that meets NEMA type 1/IP21, although a NEMA type 12/IP54 enclosure can also be used. The adjustable frequency drive is UL-508C safety certified. For optimum performance of the HVX075A1-4A1N1, it should be operated at an altitude not exceeding 3280 feet. If the altitude is exceeded, derating occurs for every 328 feet above 3280 feet. Even when exceeding, the operating altitude should not reach 9842 feet. The HVX075A1-4A1N1 also features a NEMA Type 12 keypad and LCD display for monitoring and troubleshooting. The HVX075A1-4A1N1, as with other cutler hammer variable frequency drives that fall under the HVX900 series, is meant to be used in fluid and pump control applications. Additionally, the drive can be used for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
