The HVX015A1-2A1B1 is a Variable Frequency AC Drive from the HVX9000 series (HVAC drive family) manufactured by EATON (Cutler-Hammer division). This device is used to control 3-phase motors in the most reliable way. It is specially designed to work with HVAC, pumps, and fluid flow controls. It will provide efficient speed control with fewer mistakes, production levels will rise, and energy will be conserved. The HVX015A1-2A1B1 power rating is 15 Hp (11 kW) with a maximum output current of 48 A. It has NEMA 1 type enclosure and comes with a standard software option, and its input voltage is 230 Volts AC 3-phase. An Internal brake chopper circuit is available and a Human-machine interface installed on this variable frequency drive is an LCD Keypad.
The HVX015A1-2A1B1 control hardware and software features provide a number of standard control modes such as frequency control (V/Hz) and open loop SVC (Sensorless Vector Control). Its output frequency range is 0 to 320 Hertz while the acceleration and deceleration time setting range is 0 to 3000 seconds. The inputs that are available are two analog 0 to 10 Volt DC and six digital 18 to 24 Volt DC. The available outputs are one analog 4 to 20 mA output, one digital output, and two programmable relay outputs (normally open or normally closed). The HVX015A1-2A1B1, like all 9000X Series drives, can be controlled to expand over a wide selection of adapter boards (optional). Up to five optional boards can be installed. A better motor protection is guaranteed with this module’s protection features that include overcurrent protection, over/under voltage protection, over temperature protection, grounding fault protection, input and motor phase supervision, and motor overload/stall protection. The HVX015A1-2A1B1 has dimensions of 22 x 7.6 x 9.3 inches (or 55.88 x 19.30 x 23.62 millimeters).
